Series
Oct 10, 17, 24
4-5:30pm
At Moving Parts Studio in downtown Olympia

Who is this for?
Everyone!  All humans, all levels, all bodies.

This series will expand or begin your repertoire of contact improvisation skills and tools.  It is suitable for all levels, including beginners!

What are we doing?

Exploring movement, contact with the floor, falling, rolling, sliding, your kinesphere, weight sharing.

All parts of this are optional.  Take care of yourself.  At anytime, you may sit along the edges and observe.

What do I wear?
Comfortable, loose ish clothing.  Dress in layers, you will likely want to remove some as you warm up.  Wear a t-shirt or long sleeve, you will want your shoulders covered for floor contact.  I like to wear a comfortable pair of sweats that I know will stay on my body.  For my top layer I wear a t-shirt with a loose long sleeve over it or hoodie(I like to pull my hood up sometimes and pretend no-one can see me)
Socks
Soft kneepads if you have them

What do I bring?
Your body! A willingness to try new things.  A willingness to communicate honestly while we bumble through learning new, potentially awkward things together.  Please, pause when you need to pause or stop when you need to stop.  This should feel nourishing and fun.  Listen to your body so we can listen to your body too!
Your Water bottle
An extra shirt or two if you know you sweat a lot
This is a fragrance free space.  If you can, please wash your clothing with scent free detergent and leave anything scented at home! We have people with severe allergies.
You do not need a partner, but if bringing a friend helps you feel more comfortable then please do!  We will change movement partners through out the class as we explore new concepts.

How much does this cost?
Suggested cost $60 for the series, NOTAFLOF
