The Dynamic Body
Structural Integration and Movement

Taylor Drouet, LBMT

Learning, exploring, and creating together. The edges.

Building community through movement, Taylor is a seasoned acro-yoga and contact improvisation instructor,  performer, massage therapist, and certified Anatomy Trains Structural Integrator, but mostly a seeker of truth using movement as a medium for exploring humanity.  She thrives off of exploring not only the body's mechanics and how we move through space with these bags of muscles and bones, but also how our own perceptions, truths, and emotions affect how our bodies move through space both individually and with one another.
She desires to inspire you to connect with your body.  To move outside of the boxes we have put ourselves in both mentally and physically.  To develop new relationships with our physicality, and while we are at it, become more balanced, letting go of patterns that keep us in pain so that we can be more of ourselves.

Seeking relief from chronic pain, Taylor discovered Structural Integration in 2019 and immediately dove into a full certification program.  She loves the work and how it inspires body awareness, ease and freedom of movement among so many other benefits.

More About Taylor
Bodies that live in motion stay in motion.

In 2007 I sustained a traumatic knee injury rupturing my ACL and destroying most of my meniscus.  After three surgeries and little improvement through physical therapy, I shifted my focus. I left undergrad and my human physiology major behind to set out in search of something else.
I began to seek out alternative movement practices and therapies. Sustainable movement practices for sustainable bodies.  Movement is a lifestyle for me. It is something that I want to be able to do for as long as possible.
It is something that I want to help you to be able to do for as long as possible.

Whether your goal is to create a perfect handstand line, train for marathons, get up and down out of a chair with ease, or reach the cup in your upper cabinetry my goal is to give you the tools for success.

I have been crafting The Dynamic Body for years. Bodies in movement, anatomy, and physiology have been my calling since before I can remember. Dissecting fish was my passion as a small child, as was inspecting the movement of every living creature.  I continue to be mesmerized by life and eager to learn, and learn, and learn more.

"Body work with Taylor is so nourishing! She always checks in with how I'm feeling, and adjusts the experience to be exactly what I'm needing that day. She can be super relaxing and gentle, deep and therapeutic, or anywhere in between. I would recommend Taylor to anyone!" "And the Acro...Wow. She is among the most skilled I've ever seen! She has a great gift for giving clear, detailed instruction and adjustments, while also keeping things lighthearted and FUN. “
