What is Rebel Yoga?
Build strength, mobility, and balance through weekly conditioning. Each class you can expect to: -Build your heat and track your progress with a full body warmup of bipedal and quadrapedal functional movement patterns. -A short circuit or sequence of drills with various body weight and band exercises building strong and mobile core, shoulders, wrists, hips, and legs. -A skill involving handstands or partner training: to either begin exploring or refine. -Active muscle lengthening(active stretching) throughout the class. These classes are designed to meet your body where it is, with enough challenge for you to continue to progress and push yourself and enough modifications to make it accessible. Bring a pair of socks, your most comfortable active wear, and a water bottle. This is an All LEVELS class. We strive to meet your body where it is.

Why This Class?
This class is my own personal training. Having had several knee surgeries before I was 20 and chronic low back pain I created my own personal training regimen with skills, tools, and exercises to help balance my body for a more pain free and playful feeling life. My body has often felt too stiff for yoga, needing at least an hour warm up. I have spent too much of my life sitting on a bicycle making standing painful and difficult. This class is my training to rebalance all of this forward hunching and sitting in a playful, engaging, and creative way, so we can all feel better in our bodies. Come join me! |
