Acrobatic Yoga

Collaboration. Trust. Technique.

Any body can do acro yoga.

its all about physics and building a strong foundation. For me, Acro has been my passion, physical therapy, and laughter therapy since 2012.
After three knee surgeries, it was an incredible rehab tool for my body to build strength, mobility, and stability in a controlled environment. A way that there could be plenty of smiles, laughter, and connection all while rehabbing.

REBEL YOGA is a great way to build a foundation for Acro yoga.

Take yourself off your mat, across the floor, and upside down.  A spicy new spin on your regular yoga practice: Building your heat, strengthening your wrists, opening your shoulders and building a rock solid core all while prepping you for effortless inversions.

What is it like to work with Taylor?

I’ve been to contact dance and acroyoga workshops with Taylor, and have also had bodywork from her, and I can’t recommend her highly enough!!! She is extremely knowledgeable about safe ways to move the body and how to release tension from it in a natural, gentle way. She has such a genuine, supportive, yet childlike***playful??? demeanor that helps me to feel instantly safe to be myself around her and to try new things that might be kind of scary. She has helped me to challenge myself in really positive ways, let go of muscle tension and emotional baggage, and love myself and others more. Thanks so much Taylor!!!

Community guidelines:
Please be respectful and safe
Use a spotter!!! Recognize when you need a spotter!
Listen to "no's"
Help create a supportive community by supporting equal sharing. You can help make this a space where everybody feels fed and supported and gets to play and learn and teach. If you are a beginner, please don't monopolize the more experienced Acro folks, they need time to play at higher levels also. Spending time with all levels is valuable for everyone. More experienced folks, please help include beginners, but also recognize that you need your higher level playtime too.

Have Fun!

Come one and come all!
Bring your blankets, bring your friends, lets play!

4 week Intermediate acro yoga series.

Spend 4 weeks delving into a serious Acro yoga and handstand practice.

Twice a week class will begin with a series of individual warm ups moving into handstand conditioning and acro strength and conditioning.  The second half of the class will include a skill introduction and progression with a few minutes at the end to wrap up and go over previous skills and progressions.

Expect to become extremely proficient at involved spotting, high star variations, and mono limb work. We will train progressions and foundation for foot to hand, hand to hand, and two high consistently throughout the series.  Those interested will have enough material to put something together for a performance with Boone's Drag for Ag show this November.

Come ready to train hard.
Transitions between drills will be fast and you will be expected to have a basic understanding and ability to do Acroyoga already.

pre-reqs: you must be able to base or fly un-assisted bird and presses, high star, and throne. You must be at least beginning foot to hand work, and have a basic foundation for handstands.

**It is highly recommended that you attend B3 classes before attending this series. Get your wrists, shoulders, and body in shape, and ready.

"As a first timer doing  Acro Yoga, Taylor created a safe, comfortable, and fun learning space for me. I was nervous in the beginning since Acro is definitely out of my comfort zone. I was scared I was too big and would crush smaller people that were basing me. However, when we both engaged our muscles, properly aligned our bodies, and trusted each other, we were able to do it!  Stepping out of my comfort zone coupled with Taylor's guidance opened doors for me to feel more positive about my body and my strength. Taylor's classes exceeded my expectations as she invited us to go deep and truly explore our body's movement in relation to our own selves and with one another.  I leave each class glowing, feeling a more positive connection between my mind, body and spirit."
